Funny enough, I remember her doing a very similar performance on American Idol at least 10 years ago, where she sang I'm Every Woman with the final group of female contestants. I watched this last night and was happy to see and hear her looking and sounding great! Not sure if she was tired or something, or perhaps just 'over' singing her hits, as she didn't seem super into the performance. I've gotten that vibe from her before, in regards to her indifference for singing her big hits. In fact, I think she's even communicated that herself in recent interviews.
