Fascinating survey there .. it wouldn't be the only R&B survey to have included "I'm A Man" by SPENCER DAVIS either as it got to #48 on Billboard's R&B chart and #10 on their Pop listing.

And yes, BYRON LEE and THE BLUES BUSTERS would have to be the Jamaican acts .. this would have been the peak of the "Rocksteady" era in Jamaican music [[ the forerunner of "Reggae" )

I'd assumed it would be a version of the MARVIN GAYE classic but its an entirely different song, it also isn't really "Rocksteady" either, its more a Jamaican version of New Orleans style R&B.
