Listening to the sublime lp 'Soul Sister' this evening this song took on new levels of meaning after watching [[most of) 'Aretha: Genius'.

Great song & performance; Thanks for sharing PNH! It's my first time hearing "A Mother's Love" and I think it's Lovely [and indeed, the song takes on a whole new dimension after watching the Aretha: Genius mini-series].

Great song & performance; Thanks for sharing PNH! It's my first time hearing "A Mother's Love" and I think it's Lovely [and indeed, the song takes on a whole new dimension after watching the Aretha: Genius mini-series]. Right? I'm quite the Aretha-cologist, and yet I find that after watching the series I have a renewed appreciation for what the lady accomplished in her life, both personally and career-wise. And ... I always recommend the Columbia lps - not THE Aretha that came to be but gorgeous music in their own right.
