Ms. baker wants her fans to know that he streaming and [[recent) music for streaming and for sale are not the real thing.

She may have a point. If this is indeed what the law and/or her contracts dictate, than she is certainly entitled to owning her masters.

She hinted at taking the record company to court. When has Anita not been in court?

Hmmm, most of Detroit is still mad at her for not bringing her "farewell" tour to the place that originally made her. So I don't know what to tell her.

Did she formally end that farewell tour? She had mentioned on Twitter at least a couple of times that she was going to have Detroit be the last stop on her ongoing farewell tour. I think she still had dates lined up before the pandemic hit? Wasn't she scheduled to go to Europe? I'm sure Detroit was in the books, but of course, the pandemic sadly put a full stop to everything.

I appreciate what Ms. Baker is saying. I know it is the current thing, but I detest streaming music. It is a total rip-off to the artists. I have a friend who is a successful recording artist on a major label. She told me that she had over 300,000 streams of her songs during a particular period. She got a check from Spotify for $431.00 for all of that! $431 for over 300,000 streams! Something is badly wrong with that! The record companies and these streaming platforms make a friggin' killin', yet the artists are screwed! WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!
