Two years ago, Donald Trump was a fan of Obama, and went on record saying that he believes that he is an American who was born in the U.S.. He was pro-choice, thought the wealthy should pay their fair share, believed in unions, and...well made sense.

For the last couple of weeks or so, he has become the opposite of everything he stated and stood for, and decided he may run for the presidency in 2012. All of a sudden, he's a birther, and has been going viral with it. People have been distancing himself from him, he has become the butt of jokes, and the republicans have been trying to stop him. He's even made questionably racist statements on network TV. He advocated healthcare. But, the tea-baggers love him. he speaks their language. he's their guy! But, I think he's has an ulterior motive.

Today, Michelle Bachman, came on TV and was shown Obama's birth certificate. She has stated to George Stephanopoulos and the world that this mess about Obama's citizenship is over! Yup! After the two years, the tea-queen has said Obama's citizenship is a dead issue!

Donald Trump has been ridiculed for not knowing what a tariff is. George Stephanopoulos pounded Trump yesterday on ABC on a range of topics. Trump dodged questions, gave nonsensical answers, and got rude and told the host to change the subject. But...Trump says he wants to bring jobs back to America. How will he do this? Penalize companies that take jobs away from these shores? Hmmm...sounds a lot like what the Democrats tried to do last year and the republicans blocked them from doing so. What will Trump say next? Is he really serious about running for president? Or, is he trying to stop the madness by taking the madness to the extreme? You have to admit, he is driving a huge wedge in the middle of the republican party, and using the already divisive tea-baggers, and their rhetoric, to do it.

Donald Trump already has a reputation for being a liar, shooting from the hip, being obnoxious. But, I am finding it hard to believe anyone that successful in the way he has been, to be that stupid, or to change so many of his fundamental beliefs, in such a short time, even go so far as to ruin any chance of actually winning the position of POTUS by offending a whole race of people, is that stupid. He must have some plan. Is he trying to help the democrats, or is he trying to destroy the tea-party, thereby forcing the republicans back into some sense of sanity? What is his game?

I hope i'm right, but am going to be so disappointed if it turns out that he really is certifiable. I neither like or dislike the guy, and I do not watch his TV show. I would never ever vote for him. After the last two years, nothing surprises me. We even saw the Clintons use racism to try to win the Democratic nomination.

What do you think?

Welcome to America, dude!

Trump is an ignorant egomaniac. So what else is new? I wrote him off right after the suspects in the Central Park jogger case were exonerated. Puts out a full page ad vilifying them in the press, yet he was totally silent when they found out that they were found innocent of the crime. Not surprising though.

It's a good thing that it's early in the presidential nomination season. Regardless of what you may think, there are actually decent thinkers within the Republican party, people who, although I don't agree with them, present well thought out positions on any number of issues. The problem is that they're drowned out by the "clown" wing of the party, and the quicker the party can shed the Bachmanns, Palins, the better the party will be able to articulate a position.

Ooohhh Damn! I didn't know he had his hand in the Central Park Jogger case! Since I live here in the southwest, I know nothing about any headline from Trump about it.

Oh yeah, Soulster. Not one word spoken after they were exonerated.
Lawrence O'Donnell commented last night that he used to say that he 'got along good with the blacks'. A black friend of O'Donnell's e-mail him and said that anyone who refers to African-Americans as 'the blacks' probably doesn't get along with 'the blacks'.

I saw that last night. A good portion of his show was devoted to Trump and his race-baiting.

Oh well, I guess i'm wrong with my theory. I have no use for Trump.

It's like having your drunken friend drive you home. Sheer insanity.

Let's not forget that it was Trump's father Fred that established the Trump fortune. While Donald has had his share of successes, he's also gone bankrupt in the past, has very tacky taste in decor and architecture, has manage to lose money with his Casino/hotels, and let's not forget his involvement in the United States Football League in the early 80's. The USFL was a spring league that had the potential to create its own nitch in the sports world. Then Trump bought the NYC/NJ team and pushed for the league to move to the fall and to sue the NFL. The USFL won the suit, but they were awarded only $3 in damages, which the NFL gladly paid. The USFL went poof. Good job Donald. He's a tacky, shameless self promoter.
