Right! They should have been inducted in the 90's. I get what you are saying. Like how do you have Dionne Warwick on the same list as an artist she helped open doors for and that came out 30 years later like Mary J Blige.

Their decisions are about money it seems.

Exactly! Money is why we have rappers, Radiohead and Red Hot Chili Peppers in the Hall, to name a few. Pandering to the kiddie crowd. Sad.

I've had to explain this numerous times. Rock and Roll isn't a genre of music and hasn't been a genre since at least the early 1960's. Rock and Roll is an umbrella term that encompasses various genres of American popular music. That means rock, Soul, R&B, country, Jazz, Funk, Pop, Folk, heavy metal, Gospel, and yes, Rap music. In fact, Rap music has been the new Rock and Roll since at least 1990. Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Nina Simone are all in the RRHOF. Are we going to revoke their induction?

Plain and simple, if ABBA is in the Hall, then anyone is game.

The official list for 2021. I am absolutely happy for the family of Gil Scott-Heron. He wasn't even in the fan vote.
