Does anyone know of a source for high-quality needle drops of OOP 70s and 80s R&B albums and singles?
I do these, but am hard pressed to find anyone who also does soul albums. All I ever see are the usual Neil Young, Led Zepplein, The Byrds, you know...
And, yeah, I know it's unauthorized stuff, but if it's OOP, I see no harm in it, since, the record company doesn't have official releases of the stuff anyway. And, people can make better-sounding drops of stuff than what companies will release on CD simply because the companies think they have to boost the volume with compression/limiting.
