Wow. This is the first that I'm hearing of this. He always seemed like a cool guy. I got the impression that the charm he displayed in his acting was an authentic quality of the man, not the character. In addition to loving him in the 007 films, he was the best thing about The Untouchables [[along with Robert DeNiro). May he rest in peace.
