So sorry to hear about Tower Of Power's Rocco Prestia. As others have mentioned, TOP was one of the great bands of the Soul & Funk Era during the '70s. RIP Rocco.

I Agree! Let's kick off a discussion of TOP with a list of favorites by the band:

1. "You're Still A Young Man"
2. "What Is Hip?"
3. "Time Will Tell"
4. "This Time It's Real"
5. "Willing To Learn"
6. "Below Us, All The City Lights"
7. "Don't Change Horses in The Middle Of The Stream"
8. "So Very Hard To Go"

All those are some of my favorites. They were legendary, and not mentioned enough.

Yes, great idea. I'm going to take a slightly different approach to picking my top cuts -

Lenny Williams was their best lead singer hand down. What Is Hip, This Time It's Real,
So Very Hard To Go, his stellar tone and phrasing sold those records. He also went on
to have a very good solo career. Cause I Love You is still a great soul classic that also
features a well constructed monolgue as some of were discussing in another thread
recently.RIP, Rocca.....
