I apologise if this topic has been introduced in 2017, when the Oreo Cookies commercial introducing this song to the public was playing, and especially if I asked this same question before. It sounds like a 1964 or 1965 recording. I have also read that it was an unreleased recording from more than 50 years before.

I am hoping to find out who the people involved in the production are, as well as information about the record label involved. I've never heard of the group, but the lead singer's voice is somewhat familiar.
Here it is:

Any help here?

Thanks very much. It's a shame that the Prix Records producer never got around to releasing "You And Me", with "I Cried A Tear" on the flip, in 1969.
