spent a little time digging through the disco charts in Billboard. Been interesting to see what was going on where

in 1975 and through Aug 76, the majority of the data in Billboard is a combination of NYC retail sales and then club response in NYC and sometimes another market, like LA or Boston.

Starting in Sept 76, they began a National Disco chart plus listed local market audience responses in a dozen or so cities

with Sup 75, the lp doesn't ever specifically show up on the charts, although the song listed on the chart also signifies the lp being sold. Also none of the tracks made the Audience Response lists in NY or other markets

Melody Song Shops in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island were DEFINITELY the place to go get Sups disco. Other stores like Colony and Downstairs never list any of the Sup 75 tracks.

Given the mix of songs and producers on Sup 75, it's not surprising that there is a lot of variety in the chart listings

WDIGFH/HMM were the first to appear on the charts on 6/7/75, going to #7

EML appears the next week at #6, then HMM on 6/21 at #9

then on 6/28 TIWIBIY charts at #1

HMM and WDIGFH appear at various chart positions through July, peaking at #1 on 8/2. Again all of this data is regional store sales chart action

CMWB appears on 8/16 at #11 ALONGSIDE HMM which was at #10. the only time 2 songs appear on the charts at different ranks.

Color remains on the chart through 9/6 going from 11 to 9, 9 again then 13. The charts only show the top 15 slots

WDIGFH returns in Sept on 9/13 at 15, peaking several weeks later at 7
