The last remaining original member of the Main Ingredient died of cancer 4 years ago! With all the other artists we lost in that time frame [[Prince had died weeks prior) I guess he slipped through the cracks. Even when Cuba Gooding passed the following year, not a peep.

Was anyone aware of this? I wish I had found out sooner.

I had no idea that Luther Simmons had passed. The only mention of his death [[I did a Google search after reading your post) is on Wikipedia. My oldest brother [[who is a Main Ingredient fan) probably doesn't know it either.

I’m a big Main Ingredient fan myself. So I was very disheartened by the this. Even more so because he went without any fanfare whatsoever. Even Don McPherson was acknowledged in quite a few news articles about Cuba’s death.
