Mary totally copied Gladys. I’ve always like this arrangement and live performance from Gladys. There is no comparison. Gladys version has soul and is superior in every way.

Many thanks for the info Jaap. If and when comparing vocal performances, i think some of the best singers in the world would find it hard to better the pure, raw emotion that Gladys Knight imbues her songs with. Kudos to Mary though for an admirable performance.
