Nice find Marv! CKLW def melded into the fantastic Detroit media. WIKI says that CKLW signal could reach New York and many other cities. WIKI has a great discussion of CKLW history.

Yeah, I've even seen or rather heard video of where CKLW radio reached all the way to Scotland one time. The television station reached Toledo, but I am not sure how much further people were able to pick it up. I grew watching channel 9 CKLW and Channel 50 in Detroit.
