They were a group produced by Roy Ayers. They made some pretty funky tunes including this one

Yes! A creation of the legendary Roy Ayers -- his very own Mary Jane Girls. "I Knew That Love" is the jam. A regular on my cardio playlist...which I hope to resume soon.
