This is a long time favorite of mine by Syreeta from her 1980 album. It's the classic Chantels song, "He's Gone"

Thanks for posting. This is the first time I have heard Syreeta's version. I personally love the Chantels version, but the last two times I have seen the group perform they did not sing He's Gone.

First heard Syreeta's version on the UK album Motown Chartbusters 80 [[later re-issued as Motown Chartbusters Volume 11). Love this version, Syreeta does a great job, as she does on the song "Bad Boy" on the Rita Wright Years CD. Love them both.

Might have been on a Chartbusters album but it was never a hit, let alone a Chartbuster lol. These were the tracks on that set with UK chart position...
