Diana mentioned in a clip I saw, that they didn’t have time to rehearse NEW material. Don’t know if she meant new new, or just songs from her catalog she hasn’t performed in a while. Major shakeup with the set list. She did add; Home, If we hold on together, Your love, voice of the heart, It’s my turn, When you tell me that you love me, He lives in you, The man I love.

Glad to see her add It's My Turn. One of my favorite songs by her.

This Washington is a show of a superstar. Sadly, her Vegas and touring shows are very watered down. They are economically cheap.

I saw the clip of Upside Down on YT earlier today. It didn't sound very good but that may be due to the device it was recorded on. The crowd seemed to be enjoying it though.

The only other clip I could see was 'I Will Survive' so didn't bother watching that.

This is the set list that I prefer. I wish she kept this set list. Her orchestral set list is the best.
We need a Diana Ross and Orchestra in Wash. D.C. PBS Special!

I have enjoyed all her performances in Wash.D.C.Especially, the Christmas Special with The Obama Family in attendance.

Does she ever sing "I Ain't Been Licked." I imagine this encore set-up.
A) "Little Girl Blue"
B) "Didn't We"
C) "I Ain't Been Licked"

Any encore suggestions?

My dream encore for many years has been “Remember Me”

Absolutely anything she has recorded to replace "I Will Survive".

That’s funny, I don’t know a fan who loves WDFFIL and IWSurvive, yet, She’ll keep these in her act till the end

I'll agree with you on IWS but Fools is a great happy-go-lucky fun pop single and as a one-off I love it - it comes over well to an audience too, so it makes sense to include it in her set.

One of her biggest selling singles in the UK.

Unfortunately i have the strangest feeling you might just be right Albator lol.
WDFFIL i can kind of understand as it was a huge international hit and she did produce it. IWS is a strange one. I actually really like Diana's version but at the end of the day it is not a song that will ever be associated with her and as such has stuck around way to long.
For me this is a massive shame as there are so many fantastic Diana originals she could choose to close out her show. "One Shining Moment or "Top Of The World" to name but two.

They are not my favourites either, but everything you say also applies to IWS.

She would be crazy to replace either with any of these fan favourites

But maybe someday before it’s all over and even for a special price, she could do a concert of the lesser known fan favourites

I despise I Will Survive. It is cringeworthy.

She will continue to sing WDFFIL because she loves the song. Personally i dislike it as much as IWS but we are stuck with them both so i just go along for the ride.....

Always thought Carry On would be a good closer.....
Remember Me would be a great addition as well

Thanks for those great clips, khansperac [[https://soulfuldetroit.com/member.php?7548-khansperac).

They've already put me in the mood for next July - so many great memories of Reach Out And Touch.

Yes, many thanks for posting.

I really don't quite understand what's going on here. At a concert in Central Park, Diana once defied the elements. It would appear she is able to do the same with Father Time.
It's as if the years the years have suddenly been rolled back with those top notes sounding bright and clear again. On this type of form and with a shaken up set list i am now REALLY looking forward to those UK concerts.:D
