Drummer Joe Morello passed away yesterday at the age of 82. He received a great deal of acclaim for his 12 years as drummer with the Dave Brubeck Quartet. For those of us who were alive back then, who will ever forget one of the songs that were the epitome of cool back then, the classic "Take Five"?

I loved "Take Five". The drumming was a central part of the record for me. RIP Joe

Classic drum solo. Equally as well known for his teaching and silver sparkle drum sets. He will be missed.
