Hello all ..
Some songs just don't ever seem to want to go away do they? And this has to be the case in Britain with this wonderful 1968 Van McVoy and Alicia Evelyn written tune from JACKIE WILSON.
Its currently all over the Commercial TV stations as its being used as the signature tune to the current advertising campaign for Britain's biggest department store group "Debenhams".

The funny thing is I don't think it even got a U.K. release back in 1968, even though it had been a reasonably sized U.S. hit .. but has it made up for it since!!
When it came out on MCA in 1972 it spent 13 weeks on the U.K. charts and reached #9.
A reissue on Brunswick with "Higher and Higher" on the other side in 1975 reached #25.
AND ..
A further reissue in 1987 spent 11 weeks on the charts and reached #3.
Maybe it will have another chart run with this push ..
