Up the Ladder to the Roof 1987--for curiosity sake-my ears wouldn't let me listen to the whole thing! Too much screeching!

Is that the one they made with some guy on it, too? I think it was his project. I had the LP. Great pictures of the ladies, though....if this is the one you're referring to.

blueskies,
Perhaps you're thinking of the 12 inch single with John Kidd, Scherrie Payne, Cindy Birdsong, and Jayne Edwards on the cover.

Yes this is the same one-the you tube comments talk about. The pic was very nice-I think it was Cindy, Scherrie, the guy and someone name Jayne Edwards.

I love this re-recording of a Motown classic.
I think it was very well produced and it really highlights Cindy's vocal talents.

A few years later [[1994), Scherrie and Lynda re-visited this project with Sundray Tucker as part of their Supreme Voices album. It still featured Cindy and Jayne prominantly but also showcased the wonderful Sundray.

That's exactly the one I was referring to, pj1. Years ago [[on the old forum) I started a thread asking whatever happened to John Kidd. I didn't get any answers on that one. Still wondering???

The sound quality is not good on that link

Nevertheless, it's better than I remembered.

I really like this version.

It's a way out song, it's got a good beat and you can dance to it.

Found this on SDF from about 8 years ago. A little info about John Kydd and Jayne Edwards. Still wondering what became of both of them.

I also like this version. I wonder why Jean was absent on the recording.

Jayne Edwards is on Youtube. Has her own channel, that's where that first link to this video clip came from.

I thought I heard Jean on it, maybe at the very beginning.
