His version of "Close To You" made me appreciate that song, he turns it into something totally different.

Our local CBS morning news weatherman always acknowledge the birthdays of celebrities with a song, and this morning he played "That's The Way I feel About Cha" and then he acknowledges Bobby and 3 other personalities' birthdays. His co-anchors made a remark that the song was putting them to sleep. I love my weatherman :-)

Bobby could recite a telephone directory and I would go weak at the knees!
The greatest male vocalist in the world, for me anyhow!

IMO we don't talk about him enough......

Amen to that, Bro.....

Understanding was one of the ultra few albums that broke into my Grandmother and Aunt's rotation of Streisand/Nancy Wilson/Mathis/Roberta Flack albums. I can still see them both cleaning the house and singing Harry Hippie.

On of the first cassettes that I used to play for the Poopers had 3 Persuasion songs near the beginning....but it opened with "Looking For A Love"......Miss that fuzzy guitar playing throughout.....while my girls traded "looking.....looking"
