Interesting. Makes sense that the music industry would also inherit the very qualities of capitalism. The rich get richer. The most successful artists become even more successful. The gaps become wider between who's at the top and who's not.

I agree.
But that's likely no different than what happened to those that came out of Motown in the 60's and 70's. A very few became very wealthy and most ended up "having to work" or worse - and that's why you see and hear some resentment.
