Gladys Coming to Virginia in August

In recent years, I have reported to you guys about getting to see Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, and Dionne Warwick each in an intimate 1,000 seat theater in Charlottesville. Well the lovely Gladys Knight will be next on that list when she appears on Sunday night August 18th. I also read today that she will be appearing across the state in the Tidewater city of Portsmouth the night before. I guess it is possible that she has other dates in the state or nearby. Sounds like a very energetic lady. Looking forward to it!

She looks good too. Bubba Knight still travels with her and does his own segment in her shows.

I was very lucky one night in Vegas to get a sneak preview of Gladys. Bette Midler was doing her final show at Caesar's Palace and she brought out a number of guest stars. Gladys was one of them and the highlight of the evening was The Way We Were.
