I would expect it to be a fold-down.

It might have its own dedicated mastering, however, because it will be have been a bespoke cut.

EMI seemed to be quite adept at getting the best out of Motown and Invictus fold-downs back then.

Their mono fold-down 7” single mastering of “Do What YouGotta Do” by Four Tops outshines all other stereo versions that I’ve heard.
