60 years ago today Motown was founded as Tamla Records with an $800 loan from the Gordy family.

AARP magazine has an INCREDIBLE feature on Motown's 60th birthday. It is actually three different stories in one, and one of them is an in-depth story about the Andantes and how valuable they were to Motown. I only have the printed magazine so I cannot link anything, but I think the magazine has an online presence.
