Aretha always had what you might call...a "tight" grip on her own money...even when others [[including the government) had a claim to some of it. That said...I'd assume that the projected estate income over the next several years will make up for anything the government claims it's owed, and still have some left for the heirs to the estate. I'd imagine, if managed properly, her future assets including royalties, will continue to produce income for many years...

I hope so. The niece [[I forget her name ...) seems to be an intelligent women with a good sense of both business and Aretha's value.
