For sure! "Motown 25" was quite a night!

I remember waiting for weeks for it to aired. Even the TV promos were exciting.

Of course, but then he had to ruin it by singing[oo baby baby]with linda ronstat which to me was a slap in the face to the miracles.

You are exactly right! That is what I was thinking at the time too.

Truly one of the highlights of the Motown 25 TV special was the reunion performance of Smokey Robinson & The Miracles.

Wonderful seeing AND hearing Claudette along with Bobby and Pete!! Wish Ronnie White could have been there. IIRC, he was battling leukemia??

Ronnie White was mourning the death of his Wife at the time of Motown 25 so he passed on The Miracles reunion for the show [[and yes, I wish he could've been there to complete the lineup).

I didn't know his wife had passed at the time.

I don't think that is right. I may be wrong, but i believe was under weather by the time of the taping in March 1983.

* Ok yeah Ronnie's first wife Earlyn died in 1983.
