After all those years of Spongebob Squarepants, I had no idea who actually created the programme. So sad to hear that he had motor neurone disease, and that he has now passed. Thanks for all those laughs I know I had as a kid. Rest in peace Stephen Hillenburg.

I recall when he was starting out, in order to get SSP on Nick, he was forced to sell all rights and merchandising to the network!,

Along w/ALS, a tragic end to a true broadcaster for children! Parents loved SSP as much as their kids!!!
