Ellis Hazlip and Soul! on PBS - I remember it well.

Great performance! I fondly remember seeing this back in 1972 when Labelle was on Soul! They were always a great live act.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Don't know why the host of the show [[Jerry Bledsoe) named Patti LaBelle as 'Tricia Edwards' when he introduced the group on this performance of Soul!

Maybe she was contemplating using her legal name as her new billing. Or maybe they were just having fun.

I know her birth name is Patti, Patsey or Patricia Holte and she later married Armstead Edwards.
