I learned from google that J. J. Barnes: Is still alive according to them and also that he reportedly relocated to the United Kingdom not too long ago.

Does anyone know his whereabouts and whether he is making any personal appearances in today's concert performances? Is he still in the UK or USA?

He has quite an interesting background.

I knew he was still living,but I did not know he had moved to the U.K.

Didn't know that he moved to the U.K. either. Makes sense though because that's where he's appreciated and his recordings were first made available there. Hope all is well with him.

Sorry, I got mixed up. Not google. I learned this from the following article:

J.J.'s sister, Orthea Barnes was a family friend of ours. We use to go to her club in Detroit.

I am pretty sure JJ Barnes is not living in the UK, he has certainly not been performing here if he is!
