Haven't been on the page in a while. Just wanted to share these pictures from an event that I hosted at the Richland County Public Library in Columbia, South Carolina on June 15th, 2018. Over 600 people attended this fantastic event.

Timmy, Bootsy was extremely popular my senior year in high school. I don't want to tell you what year my high school reunion was for last weekend. LOL! Bootsy got played a LOT. Congratulations on such a successful event. Did you happen to mention SDF to him by any chance?

The way that the interview flowed, there wasn't any opportunity to give that shout out. Regardless, thanks for the props. It would have been nice for some members of the SDF had been there.

I would have loved to have been there. Did he take questions from the audience?

I conducted a 35 minute interview, followed by a 15 minute audience Q and A, and then a meet and greet for the rest of the evening.

I'm friends with Bootsy on Facebook and he posts some really cool things. When Bootsy & Phelps[[Catfish) first made up the JBs with James Brown they rode from the Orlando Sports Stadium to the hotel in the backseat of my 1959 Ford Galaxie. It musta been 1970 as Sex Machine had just come out.We did PARTY back then.

Timmyfunk1, happy to have you back. My question is: do you happen to have any info on Bootsy's involvement with the Bruno Mars/Anderson Paak song: Leave The Door Open?
Thanks in advance

I'm not totally clear on what Bootsy's involvement in that project is. I prefer Bootsy taking the lead on musical projects.

This is exactly what so-called musicologists need to see. Full throttle P-Funk backed by an orchestra of young instrumentalists. I peeped this some years back. Excellent performance.
