As an amateur music historian, I know that in the 1940's 1950's 1960's, the established music field [[ especially the white cover artists in the 1950's and 1960's ) copied each other.
Most notably the Diamonds, a Canadian group, covered everything they could find.
Here is the question
Little Darlin is listed as a date 3/6/57 #2 in Joel Whitburn's Top Pop Records.
I have just collected alot of songs by the Spaniels
Try listening to
Tina recored on Vee Jay #278 listed as in 1958
Are they the same ?
I know writers such as Carol King used the same chords etc in different songs.
So I look to the knowledgable posters.
