Back in 1970, a New York based label [[Inner Ear) put out a 45 credited to the Crow that was just about totally ignored. But a copy of that 45 found it's way to the UK and by 1974 it was a big Northern Soul anthem. Coz of it's popularity, Dave Godin put it out [[as the 1st release - a UK 45) on his RIGHT ON label.
Though the track was far from being a standard type NS sound, it's popularity has endured down the years. Due to this popularity, it has been reissued here a number of times and was even included in the soundtrack of the recentish movie 'Northern Soul'.
The story of who the Crow actually were has now been unearthed and a full article on the group, it's many names & incarnations, along with the story behind the group's leader / lead singer on AUTUMN OF TOMORROW has just been published in SOUL UP NORTH fanzine ...
