Good one Marv2! One of the best songs The Spinners did while they were at Motown [[and yet another Motown b-side that I think had a-side potential).

You're welcome Motown Eddie. It had to be a bit frustrating for the Spinners during those years. They were great singers, had stage presence and were hard workers, yet Motown did not give them the push they deserved.

And, Motown rarely gave The Spinners the right songs with the potential to become major hits during the group's time with the label. Fortunately, The Spinners would have their heyday during the early '70s after leaving Motown.

Motown knew how good they were and no doubt the potential they held. I believe that is why the kept them on the bench for so long. They were at the label and when not recording, used for everything from chauffeuring groups like the Supremes around, working in packing and shipping and even janitorial work! They needed to have assigned him one or two writers and producers like Johnny Bristol and developed them further! That's just my take on things.

A beauty for sure...I need to dig out the Spinners Kent CD with bonus cuts, a great collection.
But this track is one of my favourites.

This track still gets better with every play. Magnificent.

The voices were so crisp and clear. Bobby Smith sounded as smooth as ever with great enunciation. The Funk Brothers, along with what sounds like the DSO played like the would on any Motown hit! I have to give them much respect because those guys never let down in the studio. They did their best on every recording!

"Truly Yours" b/w "Where Is That Girl" was a double A' sider in my opinion. Love 'em both.
