If only you knew is probably my favorite solo Patti tune, and the album it came from is pretty strong too, but my favorite Patti solo album is probably "Burnin'". It was such a strong album that demands repeated listens. "on my own" is probably my favorite duet record of all time.I get goosebumps whenever i hear it.

^ Burnin' is my favorite PL album too. She was ON FIRE that period [[1991-92). Won her first Grammy for the album. Got all the big press. :) When most legends her age hit their peak, Patti was still rising. Loved that era.

And yeah If Only You Knew was the greatest song she ever recorded. That deserves to be on the all-time greatest songs lists.

This compilation is chock full of amazing rarities! Thanks, midnightman!

BTW, does anyone know what the moment @ 6:13 is from?

It was, you can't dance to this one. I never saw people flood the floor at the club to this one.

^ CERTAIN folks can. It took its beat from Love & Happiness! WHO COULDN'T dance to it? Not everything has to be fast lol

Anyway, here's her performance of If Only You Knew at the second annual Black Gold Awards in March of 1984:
