Hello Ladies and Gentlemen.......This is truly a sad day because one of the true legends of Southern Soul/Blues left us today. I am talking about the extremely talented Marvin Sease. He passed away today in Mississippi at the age of 64. I grew up listening to Marvin and he is one of the singers that was supremely talented, and now that he is gone there is yet another HUGE void left by another great voice. Rest In Peace Marvin

Mikey,
It just dawn on me when you posted "Gone On",that Marvin recorded that song. A local blues DJ and friend on mine plays that song on a regular basis. I know he'll be playing it this on his show, this weekend.

Thanks for posting "Gone On."

64 years old is young by today's standards!

I'm not very familiar with his music, but he sounds like he got sexually explicit in a fun way.

Hi Soulster :Marvin sure made a lot of listeners chuckle.

Heikki: I sure appreciate your articles on the great Marvin Sease.

I was kinda disappointed his passing was not mentioned in the Grammy's roll call .

Thank you, Mikey!

Marvin was really more popular in the south than generally is assumed. And he was a really good and soulful singer + he wrote great melodies. A very underrated artist!
[[now off to Moscow again).

Hi Mikey!

Nothing to brag about; they seem to like blues more than soul. And this time I was 200 kilometres south from Moscow. It was countryside. There was little else than vodka and "Shaslik."

Best regards
Heikki
