Well maybe not so strange but this thread relates to the odd tracks which appear on CDs that folks may have overlooked. Might be worth taking a second look at some of these if you've missed them. Perhaps you will know of other instances like this rather than the obvious ones like lost & found, Cellarful etc. Worth sharing them here.

I remember coming across what looked like quite a rare CD series called Motown 50° Greatest Hits Collection.

I can't find any more information about the series, nor can I find it listed [[or available to buy) anywhere else! Anyway, one of the CDs in the series, Funky Beat, had a rare track on it, Rose Banks' "Whole New Thing", which I managed to download from a website called mp3caprice! The last CD in the series, Rarities, has some pretty, erm, rare tracks on it too. :rolleyes:

Hey Tom that does look like an interesting series and particularly the Rarities CD - they're Italian releases and what is available is quite reasonably priced on Discogs but shipping prices tend to double the cost.

I like the Motown Celebrates Sinatra collection.

This one was never released in the US. When I bought it the Stephanie Mills track This Empty Place had not been released anywhere else.

An oddity on the Bacharach CD for me was the chopped down medley that produced a short version of "Do You Know The Way To San Jose".

Ah they're Italian only releases! That might explain why there's so little info and availability out there. But as you say mystery the prices are pretty good considering!!
