I don't do death anniversaries. But it seems as Marvin has had an Easter effect, like he may have died today 34 years ago but to me he resurrected the following day... for me, it seems that way. I don't know, I'm in my deep thoughts.

So I'm posting this thread as a tribute to Marvin on what would've been his 79th birthday on April 2nd, which is tomorrow.

Share your favorite Marvin music, memories and thoughts here. Thanks.

I don’t know about “joyeux,” but it’s a very sad anniversary. Rest in power, sweet prince.

The title should read either: "Joyeux anniversaire!" or "Happy Anniversary". "Franglais" n'est pas accepté ici!

Here's a stripped down remix of "What's Going On" I created last year, highlighting Marvin's haunting vocals, and those gorgeous strings. Please consider this a loving tribute to a talent gone way, way too soon. We miss you, Marvin. Happy birthday from this fan!

And a tribute remix to one of the most beautiful partnerships in music history. I can imagine them singing duets in Heaven for the rest of time.

Rest in peace Marvin. Your music lives on. Especially true of What's Going On... how 'bout some "Mercy, Mercy Me"... still relevant even today

I meant his birthday, not his death.

Nice mix! :)
Marvin would've definitely appreciated it.
