The intro track to start one of the greatest musical careers of all time from one of the most influential artists on this planet and beyond.

A FIVE MINUTE RENDITION!

Flawless.

Like Eddie Holland said, he had one of the purest voices you ever wanna hear.

Very nice. This is a good example of the musical road Marvin wanted to go down early in his career.

So smooth. The fact that he seems such a vocal master at such a young age just knocks me out every time.

I have this album. Marvin's "A Tribute to Nat King Cole". 1965. Another superb performance:

Amazing, ain't it?
You can clearly see why Berry calls him the greatest artist he ever signed to Motown... he knew how much of a genius Marvin was even with him being stingy about Marvin's direction.

Speaking of the Nat tribute album, here's my favorite track from that album:

This is probably sacrilegious to say but I actually prefer MG's version of this to Nat's original [[which is not to spite the original because that is a classic...)

This was my favorite from that particular album. Nat himself did a great job with the song. Years later, George Benson recorded my favorite version of all....."Nature Boy"

Didn't James Brown do a version of Nature Boy? LOL

But yeah, Marvin did fine versions of those Nat songs on that album. Probably my favorite of the standards albums he did in the '60s [[well second to When I'm Alone I Cry).
