Some great and memorable performances by great music stars in the early 1970s from the weekly Flip Wilson Show. Enjoy!

Great post-Marv. I think it was GET TV that stated they would be showing Flip's TV show. Since I forgot when, I going to check now. He had some good comedy bits that I'd like to see again [[Rev. Leroy) and the musical guest is the icing on the cake. It's a shame that not all of the Flip Wilson Show episides are not available for purchase.

Edit: These are not episodes from "The Flip Wilson Show" instead they are titled as follows below. Dates are GetTV upcoming showings.

"Flip Wilson Of Course" 2/11/18 features guest: Martha Reeves
"Flip Wilson Special" 2/18: Sammy Davis Jr. And Helen Reddy
"Flip Wilson Special" 2/25: Cher, Mclean Stevenson
"Flip Wilson Of Course" 3/4: Martha Reeves [[probably a repeat)

Showing Sundays on GetTV:
10PM - 11PM Eastern
9PM - 10PM - Central
7PM - 8PM Mountain)

I remember seeing the "Flip Wilson: Of Course" special. If I remember correctly, it started with Martha Reeves singing WILD NIGHT in a church, while accompanied by Damita Joe Freeman and some other Soul Train dancers.

In a perfect world, all of that, Flip Wilson's shows, Richard Pryor's, Soul and Soul Train,The Ebony Affair and every music related tv special, TCB, Motown or not, would all be
available on DVD for anyone to view whenever they have the time. In this world, thank
goodness for youtube...

I agree Splanky! Every national and local/regional [[even from foreign markets) program that showcased popular music artists should be available. I even wish for performances that had been lost over the years due to "tape wiping" at the networks.
