Oooh wow, let me have a think

OOOH sup I agree with you on The Four Tops' Nature Planned It LP, all of it is brilliant but I love "I'll Never Change" especially! And "Light My Fire" is wonderful too! Also I agree with Thornton as per "Easily Persuaded" and "I'm Gonna Hold On As Long As I Can"... :)

Anyway, as for some fave album tracks...
"Our Lips Just Seem To Rhyme Every Time" by The Marvelettes, The Return Of The Marvelettes
"I'm Grateful" by The Four Tops, Second Album
"Poontang" by The Undisputed Truth, Higher Than High
"We Can Make It, Baby" by Willie Hutch, Color Her Sunshine
"You Are That Special One" by G.C. Cameron, Love Songs & Other Tragedies
"Just Can't Get Enough" by Junior Walker, Hot Shot
"Do Something About It" by Thelma Houston, Thelma Houston
"From Head To Toe" by The Miracles, Going To A Go-Go
"I'm A Winner" by Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Sugar 'N' Spice
"Tear It On Down" by Marvin Gaye, In The Groove
"Please Don't Go" by Stevie Wonder, Fulfillingness' First Finale

Wow that was a random selection, enjoy :p

Seems strange to a UK Motown fan for "When You're Young & In Love" and "Help Me Make It Through The Night" to be included on a less well known list.

WYYAIL was The Marvelettes only UK hit, reaching number 13 in 1967 and was included on the very popular "British Motown Chartbusters" album.

HMMITTN reached number 11 and was Gladys Knight & The Pips highest chart placing Tamla Motown release [[they had better success post Motown). The track appeared on Motown Chartbusters Volume 8.

Yeah I was taking a few liberties lol. Was mostly meaning the big hits. And I agree that both were decent hits. But they’re not necessarily the most well remembered by those groups or often included on compilations.

Some great choices in this thread.

I think top of my list would be "Share The Blame" off the Monitors one and only LP ... It is a fantastic Robinson-White song in the "Tracks Of My Tears" vein and I'm sure that if the tune had appeared on a Miracles LP it would be widely acknowledged as a classic ... hidden away on the Monitors LP it sank without trace .... I wonder if a Miracles version is hidden away in those fabled Motown vaults?
