Well, we knew laughing at Boston, New York and DC would get us in trouble. It caught up with us last night. Labeled Snowmagedon, we were treated to an extremely rare event, a major winter snow storm that included lighting, thunder and 50 mph wind gust.

The official total is 20.2 inches. Of course, that depends on which way the wind was howling.

Were hearty folks though, so most of us road the storm out with some Merlot, pizza and some great DVDs

This morning there were the unlucky who's cars are completely buried and surrounded. Then there's people like your friendly neighborhood chidrummer who caught the break of the week and didn't get buried at all. However what used to be part of the roof of the enclosed foyer in the rear of my building took a hit and now we have an indoor winter wonderland. Remember pitchers and catchers report in a couple of weeks

I guess telling you it's 70 degrees right now wouldn't help huh?

Although it's going back to the 40's tomorrow....teehee

LOL

So I'm guessing you're not in Jersey.:)

This weather is too crazy. The tempt is dropping as we speak and the high is suppose to be 43 tomorrow.

I can't complain about snow. We had some earlier this winter but only one day where it stopped anything and nothing since.

The first photo was of an abandoned bus on Lake Shore Drive.

The next photo was this am with people returning to their cars which had been abandoned on Lake Shore Drive.

The last one was last night taken looking north on LSD. There were over 1500 cars out there, 130 Fire Companies where dispatched and get this, some of them came in snowmobiles..........

No, Ms M you are not helping:mad:

Paladin, those shots are great. Dug myself out this morning as well. It'll take more than 20" to stop this chidrummer from his appointed rounds.

Oh, and the next time some dummy talks about it being too hot this summer, I'm going to paste that last pic of yours on his/her face.

For real Chi, this was a hell of a week......oddly reminiscent of the other big snows we've had , 1967 in particular.....that last shot was repeated over and over on major expressways and highways......the below photo's were from 1967 Big Snow lol.............I love the one of the old Green Hornet bus and the new One stuck side by side....
