Along with the memories that Adam White shared on his blog, I'd like to add Diana Ross' "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the AMA [[as well as the release of her Diamond Diana collection), Smokey Robinson's new Christmas album Christmas Everyday and the 4CD 'limited edition' release of Motown Unreleased 1966.

Great article. It’s wonderful to think that, 30 years after Motown ceased to exist as an independent record label, there are still enough memorable Motown moments in the year to write a blog! :D
