Anyone else love the soundtrack to that movie by Stevie Wonder and Dionne Warwick? I love It's You and I Just Called to Say I Love You the most.

I'll admit, I only bought it for the song "I Just Called to Say I Love You"........but what a song! Still sounds good all these years later. Speaking of soundtracks, did you hear that John Barry died today?

That song "I Just Called To Say I love You" is the worst piece of crap Stevie ever wrote. The best song on the album is "It's You" with Dionne Warwick.

Soulster, LOL..! There are worse songs than "I Just Called To Say..." While it is one of the worse tunes, I do like the sentiment in it.

The duets with Dionne are my faves. The title track seems a bit of a distorted or over-modulated -- another bland tune.

I must dust off my CD and give it another spin, at least for those duets!

"Love Light In Flight" !!!! So Funky ,it seams out of place on the album. I always had the impression that it was an older composition that Stevie used on the project. You got to have two copies ,so you can extend that nasty intro and the break.
That was classic peak Stevie material.

" worst piece of crap Stevie ever wrote." Don't forget "The Secret Life Of Plants" ,now that was fertilizer:D:D

Well there is "Don't Drive Drunk"...

I don't hear any modulation on my CD.

Yeah, "Love Light In Flight" is superb. The album's much better than many would have you believe - but "I Just Called To Say I Love You" is one I always skip. Stevie at his worst.

Susaye Greene [[70s Supremes) is one of the backing vocalists on the album.
