Somebody PLEASE tell me this isn't true. I know she didn't look well at Elton John's event, but I was so hoping she'd pull through. You might have to put this link in your browser. We have lost so many people this holiday.

Indeed. Then to have to release a statement saying you are not dead and doing OK. She's 75 and possibly ailing, it's tragic that she'd be pressed into that position. Fame can be so cruel.

And I suppose all of our lives are cruel-free. I don't cry when celebrities cry for lack of privacy and rumors. That is part of earning multimillions of dollars as an entertainer. They all know this going in.

Death is the great equalizer. No one escapes it. The fame and money will not make up for being stripped of your dignity and humanity in your final days. I am alarmed that these rumors have received any traction. Does anyone know what is really going on with Miss Franklin? I hope she IS well.
