I was actually thinking of Pete Moore this afternoon for some reason and wondering how he was doing. I almost started a thread to ask if anyone knew and now I've received this sad news:

Pete wrote and co-wrote some of the greatest songs of the 1960s including, but not limited to:
The Temptations' "It's Growing" and "Since I Lost My Baby", and two of Marvin Gaye's biggest hits, the Top 10 million sellers," Ain't That Peculiar ", and "I'll Be Doggone".
For the Miracles:
"Ooo Baby Baby" and "Tracks of My Tears".
As a kid I remember seeing he and the other Miracles at the roller skating rink down the street from where I lived. Great memories.

Even in his latter years Pete was trying to help establish new talent:

Thanks for sharing this musical memory. It has always been a calming favorite of mine. And thanks to the producers of "American Gigolo" for including this. How many of us Do Not recall the scene where this is played in the background? LOL

Oh I remember. LOL! In fact, the soundtrack to "American Gigolo" was the first album I bought in the 1980s even though The Miracles were not on it.

He co wrote IS THERE ANYTHING THAT I CAN DO, and THEN for the Four Tops. The should've been released NO TIME for the TEMPTATIONS but obviously The Four Tops version was superior. The Four Tops LOST FOR WORDS.

I love the 67/68/69 Miracles recordings...are there enough tracks left in the vaults for a L&F type CD?
