That's Queen Latifah and the show was "Living Single". I love QL's version.
Edit: there is an interview somewhere where she or the producers say that the red dresses were an intentional shout out to the JMC Supremes performance on Sullivan.

Kim Fields mother actress and directer Chip Fields was a big Supremes fan and friend of Jean Terrell. I believe she she was a consultant for that episode of "Living Single".
