I'm researching Dave's life and music and would appreciate anyone with knowledge of him to fill me in on parts of his life I may not know about. Particularly his early career, so far I have;

Gotta Go Back To Katie The Noc Tunes 1949 Sensation
Hold On The Peppers with Dave Hamilton 1954 Chess 1577
SCS4348, I Got A Feelin', Savoy 896 The Carols 1954 Savoy
Solid As A Rock Bobby Lewis; Dave Hamilton’s Peppers 1956 Spotlight 397
Lonely Teardrops Jackie Wilson 1958 Brunswick 55105
Cooter Bug- same as Beatle Walk on Fortune 1961 Hi Q or Fortune! - 1964.

If any musicians have memories of him, that would be great too.

Thanks

Hi Ady,
Here are the details on Dave Hamilton's Chess, Fortune, and Hi-Q releases:

Chess 1577 Dave Hamilton and The Peppers - "Rocking Chair Baby"/"Hold On" - 1954
Hi-Q 5019 - Dave Hamilton and his Peppers - "Cooter Bug"/"Donna's Cha Cha" Summer 1961
Fortune 861 Dave Hamilton - "Beatle Walk"/"The Argentina" Spring 1964

I'm sure I've seen other credits for Dave Hamilton''s Peppers. I'll also look through my collection for them. I'll also check the release dates of the records around the Fortune and Hi-Q releases, to confirm or better pinpoint the release dates.

Thanks Robb,
Beatle Walk is actually Cooter Bug and The Argentina is Donna's Cha Cha, the Fortune is essentially a re-release of the Hi-Q.

The Peppers are on a Bobby Lewis Spotlight 45. A Dave Hamilton group backed the Carols on Savoy around 53/54
