sorry for the late info all, but on the UK Bio channel in 40mins is Phil Collins - Going back to Detroit, featuring the Funk Brothers , recording his Motown covers cd. I haven't bought the cd but I will watch the show.

for the funks it will be worth watching.i saw the phil collins tv thing [[UK itv1) last year,not that good,not the kind of voice for singing the songs he chose,too weak.

Sorry crosstown, it is on Sky, just finished watching, it was a good documentry, he talked of his love for the songs from his childhood, and showed the funks recording the cd with his band in Switzerland, and them performing together in New York, it also gave a history of Motown in Detroit, the riots and motowns move to LA, Martha Reeves was also interviewed and featured lots of her and the Vandellas performances from the 60's. I did enjoy the show but I will stick to the original recordings Thanks!

Me too - have recorded it for you John and this morning's Phil Collins Going Back concert from New York which was on Sky Arts, the documentary was OK but I felt he kept slapping himself on the back a little too much..
