This is a really nice piece on this already accomplished young[[ish!) author Jesmyn Ward. 'Salvage the Bones' was extraordinary and I look forward to the new novel 'Sing, Unburied, Sing'. Quite a lady.

I actually have this new Jesmyn novel which a doll of a friend gave me
recently. I haven't begun to read it yet because I'm finishing up Krystal
A. Sital's Secrets We Kept and had planned to read Mr Fox next. It's
so good to have these fresher young authors creating new work of
substance today. For a long time I feared we were going to be smothered by "urban lit"...Ah, I'll be nice.....:)....
